WEBSITE PRIVACY NOTICE

1. About This Notice

This Website Privacy Notice ("Notice") is published by Entrar Edutech LLP ("Entrar", "we", "us", or "our"), a Limited Liability Partnership incorporated under the laws of India, in respect of the website https://www.entrar.in ("Website").

This Notice is published in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 ("IT Act") and the applicable rules made thereunder, as amended from time to time. It applies to all visitors to the Website, whether they are education institution administrators and institutional representatives evaluating Entrar's services, prospective business partners, or parents, students, or other individuals who may access the Website to understand the technology services available to their education institution.

This Notice should be read together with the Terms of Use published on the Website, which govern your access to and use of the Website.

2. Who Entrar Is and Its Role

Entrar is an educational institution management platform, a brand under the entities Entrar Edutech LLP and Skoodle Learning Private Limited. Both entities operate under a common management structure. All data protection and compliance obligations in respect of the Entrar platform rest with both the entities.

Understanding Entrar's role is important for all visitors, particularly parents and students:

Entrar is a data processor, not a data controller. In the course of providing technology platforms to education institution, Entrar acts solely as a data processor. It processes personal data of students, parents, and educators only on the documented instructions of the relevant education institution. The education institution is the data controller and, where applicable under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA"), the Data Fiduciary. Entrar does not independently determine the purpose or means of processing such personal data.

Data relating to students and parents is collected by the education institution, not by Entrar. Any personal data relating to students, parents, or educators that exist within Entrar's systems was collected by the education institution and shared with Entrar pursuant to a written data processing agreement between Entrar and the education institution. This website plays no role in that process.

This website does not actively collect personal data from visitors, except for limited technical information such as server logs, which may include identifiers like IP address and are processed solely for security, functionality, and diagnostic purpose.

Queries about personal data should go to the education institution. If you are a parent or student with questions about how your personal data is handled in connection with your education institution's technology platform, the appropriate first point of contact is your education institution, as the responsible data controller for that data.

3. Who Visits This Website

This Website may be visited by a range of individuals, including:

  • Education institution principals, administrators, and IT representatives evaluating or enquiring about Entrar's services.
  • Prospective institutional partners, investors, or other business contacts.
  • Parents or guardians who have become aware of Entrar or Skoodle through their child's education institution and wish to understand the platform; and
  • Students or other individuals who have come across the Website.

Entrar's position is the same regardless of who visits: the website is informational, and Entrar does not collect personal data through it.

Whereas parents or students have been granted access to a platform operated by Entrar, that access was authorized and arranged by the education institution. Any personal data that the education institution has shared with Entrar for processing was collected by the education institution under its own arrangements with students and parents, pursuant to a written data processing agreement with Entrar, and has no connection to this website.

4. What Entrar Does Not Collect Through This Website

Entrar does not, through this Website, collect, store, or process:

  • Any personal information or sensitive personal data or information as defined under the IT Act and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules").
  • Any student data, academic records, or data relating to a minor.
  • Any parent or guardian personal data.
  • Any data relating to a visitor's use of Entrar's platform; or
  • Any profile, behavioral, or tracking data about visitors to this Website.

If your personal data is held by Entrar, it is because your education institution collected it and shared it with Entrar under a written data processing agreement. That data was not collected through this website and is governed entirely by that agreement and by the education institution's own privacy arrangements with its students and parents.

5. Server Logs

As is standard with any website, Entrar's hosting infrastructure automatically records basic technical data when your browser requests a page from the Website. This may include:

  • The requested IP address.
  • The type and version of the browser used.
  • The device type and operating system.
  • The page or pages visited and the date and time of the visit; and
  • The referring URL, if any.

Such server log data may include identifiers such as IP address, which may be considered personal data under applicable law. However, this data is generated passively by the hosting infrastructure and is processed by Entrar solely for limited technical purposes, including security, diagnostics, and system integrity. Entrar does not use such data to identify individual visitors or for any profiling or commercial purpose.

6. Information You Voluntarily Submit

If you choose to contact Entrar by completing a contact or enquiry form on the website, or by sending an email directly to Entrar, you may provide information such as your name, designation, institution name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message. This information is:

  • Used solely to respond to your specific enquiry or request and for any follow-up arising from it.
  • Not shared with any third party for marketing, advertising, or any other unrelated purpose.
  • Not used to add you to any mailing list or marketing campaign without your separate, express consent; and
  • Retained only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to address your enquiry and any related follow-up, after which it is deleted or rendered anonymous.

Entrar will not contact you for marketing purposes on the basis of this contact alone without your separate consent.

7. Processing of Personal Data for Education institution - Entrar's Role as Processor

Where Entrar processes personal data relating to students, parents, or educators as part of delivering a technology platform to a education institution, the following applies:

  • The education institution is the Data Fiduciary and data controller. The education institution is responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing, obtaining any required consents, issuing privacy notices to its students and parents, and complying with applicable data protection law including the DPDPA where applicable.
  • Entrar is a data processor. It processes personal data only on the written instructions of the education institution and for the purposes set out in the data processing agreement with the education institution.
  • Entrar does not use such personal data for its own commercial purposes, do not sell or transfer it to third parties except as instructed by the education institution or required by law, and maintain appropriate technical and organizational security measures.
  • Entrar's processor obligations are set out in its written agreement with each education institution. This Notice does not form part of, and does not modify or supersede, those obligations.

Any student or parent who wishes to exercise rights in respect of personal data held by Entrar in connection with a education institution platform should contact the education institution directly. The education institution, as Data Fiduciary, is responsible for addressing such requests. Entrar will cooperate with education institution in doing so in accordance with its contractual obligations.

10. Security of the Website

Entrar takes reasonable and proportionate technical and organizational measures to protect the Website against unauthorized access, misuse, and disruption, including through secure hosting arrangements and standard web security practices. As is inherent to internet-based systems, no absolute guarantee of security can be provided.

11. Retention of Voluntarily Submitted Information

Information submitted through a contact form or by email is retained only for as long as is necessary to address the relevant enquiry and any follow-up arising from it. Once no longer required, such information is deleted or anonymized. Entrar does not maintain a permanent database of website enquiries.

12. Changes to This Notice

This Notice may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law, regulatory guidance, or Entrar's website practices. Any revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We recommend checking this page periodically. Continued use of the Website after an updated Notice has been posted constitutes acknowledgement of that update. This Website does not involve processing of personal data in a manner that independently triggers obligations under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Any such obligations arise, where applicable, only in the context of services provided by Entrar to educational institutions under separate written agreements.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Notice is governed by the laws of India, including the IT Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Notice shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

14. Grievance Officer and Contact
